This was only the 2nd affair that I've tried cooking in a boring cooker and it came out then delicious! I did add about 1/4 cup of water to the bottom to avoid called-for and I added onion slices on top of each pork chop as I was layering. The issue was incredible, no knife required, and the slightly thinned onion loaded sauce was good on my potatoes. I'grand going to try the leftovers over rice.

This is a good basic recipe. My family really enjoyed the Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken BBQ recipe by Zanne Peters from this website which had these boosted ingredients: 1/2 cup of italian dressing, 1/iv cup chocolate-brown saccharide, and 2 tbsp. of worcestershire sauce. If you want to add a little boot to this recipe, I would advise adding these along with the BBQ sauce of your choice. It gives it a great gustatory modality whether you're using chicken or pork!! Thanks!

DELICOUS! The meat just fell off the bone. I permit it cook on high for about 3.five hours, and then I turned it to depression and cooked for another hour or then. I too had some leftover homecooked barbeque sauce that I spread on each chop, then topped each with the bottled sauce. I then poured the remaining over the whole top. I served them with mashed potatoes and light-green beans. My family unit loved them. I will definitely make these once again.
08/23/2006
I picked this recipe because it seemed so easy. I bought a good canteen of BBQ sauce. I added 1/ii c of chopped onion and I added 1/2 c of h2o. I cooked information technology like suggested, simply the last thirty mins plough it downwardly as well low. My husband and girls liked information technology a lot. However my married man said the sauce was to thin. I told him I had read everyone on the site, said add some water to aid it not burn. He said I didn't need likewise. Next time we make information technology we will not add together the water and see if information technology is amend. It was easy and tasty. thanks for sharing your idea.

This recipe will definitely be one of our favs. I sprinkled the chops with Garlic Powder and Onion Pulverization before cooking and added 1/2 loving cup h2o to the sauce in the lesser of the pan and mixed information technology well. I cooked them on high for 2 1/2 hrs and low for 30 minutes. They were so tender the meat savage off the bone. Everyone loved them ! I wish everything was this piece of cake.
02/01/2008
This was a good recipe and I'll utilise it again. I used boneless pork chops and found that afterward iii hours on high, the meat was a petty dry. The next time I make this recipe, I'll only cook the pork chops for 2.5 hours. I added some water, yellowish onions, dark-brown sugar and worcerstershire (sp) sauce as per other posters' suggestions.
10/30/2006
i did this but used a pork roast in the slow cooker with just a canteen of bbq sauce on low for eight hrs. put it in earlier work and come home and consume it! just pulled autonomously with a fork for a yummy pulled bbq pork sandwich. lasted me and my boyfriend a few days!
02/25/2007
Yuck.
06/18/2007
VERY Like shooting fish in a barrel! I used enough BBQ sauce to Embrace THE PORK CHOPS. I used boneless, and they turned out great! So tender, this is the manner they should be. I cooked it on loftier for iv hours per the directions and had no issues. Again, I did add actress BBQ sauce, so perchance that's the divergence.
11/27/2010
This recipe was wonderful! Just I did 1 affair different, I rubbed the pork with some smoked paprika, garlic, pepper, and a wee bit of oregano. I used Sweet Babe Ray's BBQ sauce with a little bit of Bullseye. Was very good!
11/04/2010
Super like shooting fish in a barrel & tender! I used Sugariness Baby Ray'due south & boneless pork chops. I put 1/2c. water in the bottom & 1/2c. water on top, as information technology's a thick bbq sauce. Vii hours on low = perfection!
09/17/2009
I use a variation on this recipe all the time, and I have a few tips. I would never bother to use my crock pot if I'chiliad going to use information technology on high, I like to throw things in it for 8-ten hours and you lot never, ever get a dry outcome. I as well wait until the last couple of hours to add a sauce, as the flavour is diluted by the cooking process. Any kind of sauce volition work with this, including a cream of mushroom soup gravy. Experiment and you'll find a variation that you love. Make sure not to add too much water, or you end upwardly with mush as well.
07/22/2006
Quick and easy! Like the others said, it all depends on the sauce you lot utilize.
01/17/2011
Very like shooting fish in a barrel to brand in the crock pot. I also added some sliced onions and a cup of water. Made for some yummy sandwiches! And I also had information technology over white rice.
02/24/2011
We loved this. It was piece of cake and tasted good. The meat was so tender. I used JD BBQ sauce and added 10oz of Coca Cola for the last hour of cooking.
01/28/2011
These came out pretty cracking, something was missing just non certain what. The husband loved them and wants it added to the echo list :) we both loved how tender they came out. :) we used JD BBQ sauce + garlic pulverisation I poked holes (using a fork) in the chops, seasoned due west/some garlic pulverization, put a thin layer of sauce (like information technology says), put in a layer of chops (4 full), so covered with the remaining sauce. i found it wasn't enough to completely comprehend so i opened a second bottle and added that. and then cooked on low all twenty-four hours. i wasn't sure when exactly they would be done since information technology didn't list a set number of hours for the low setting but we knew by the suddenly mouth watering smell, husband checked and yup it was dinner time. perfect timing. :) 10am-6pm :)
01/20/2011
This was exactly what it sounds like. It was good simply tin be a fleck dry even with the BBQ sauce. I would recc using a 'fatty' pork chop not a center cut, lean one. In addition, employ a BBQ sauce that you REALLY similar because the cooking method but intensifies the flavour.
03/22/2009
You lot have to use thick chops and expert barbecue sauce. You lot season the meat and do that and yous can't go wrong with this.
12/17/2010
Super easy and tasty! I used Sweet Baby Ray'south Charcoal-broil Sauce. Next time I'll layer with onions.
02/13/2011
I Hate to cook and this was super easy and delicious!
01/10/2011
My hubby made this with scalloped potatoes....this tells you how easy this recipe is because he tin't cook anything, LOL....Seriously though, if yous like barbecue, you will like this. He actually used 2 bottle of barbecue sauce instead of one, and cooked information technology on low for 8 hours, so had no trouble with called-for...pork roughshod autonomously, and lots of sauce to dip the meat in!!! :)
03/25/2010
Can't be any easier! Adding water is NOT necessary. I did not mensurate the barbecue sauce - just put a layer of sauce on the lesser, added the chops, put another layer on height of chops. Cooked on low for nearly 8 hours. OMG! Great! I definitely will make this again!
01/25/2009
My family LOVED this recipe! I put onions on the bottom of the crockpot and used Sugariness Infant Rays. I am not a big pork chop fan, simply these were amazing.
ten/04/2010
Abosolutley no easier than this 1! I didnt' use what I call thick chops, but they weren't thin. I added some sliced onion for no reason. These were fork tender, no knife needed!
01/06/2011
So simple yet and then amazing!
12/18/2010
The whole family liked these. My son said it was well-nigh as good every bit dad's porkchops on the grill, which is a huge compliment! Used ii bottles of sauce and no water, came out corking subsequently 3 hours on high.
02/24/2011
I but fabricated this recipe today for dinner. I cooked ii pork chops over high heat for 3 one/two hours and the pork just crumbled into pieces, and was very dry out. I volition never try this again!
01/25/2011
This was awesome. Real easy and quick. I shredded the left overs added a can of manwich and had wonderful pulled pork BBQ sandwiches.
04/26/2011
I used thick cut pork loin chops! and added on top some huge skinless chicken breast. They were so good and I carried the leftovers in my dejeuner a couple days. I used a low setting all twenty-four hours from 9am to 5pm.
02/06/2011
My family did not like these. They were tender but very dry.
01/05/2011
Crawly!
03/23/2010
I never would've thought about using a commercial bbq sauce until I saw this recipe and tried it out. Why waste product all that time making your own sauce when you can merely use a bottle of your favorite sauce? The porkchops just fell off the bone, and my dad said "my" sauce was improve than my mom's! (I used Kraft'southward Chicken 'north Rib BBQ sauce;) I added some chopped onion & whole babe carrots to the pot and served it along with basmatti rice.. a real hit!
10/19/2010
Don't estimate my 5 star rating only yet. I read what everyone else was doing with the recipe, saw they were adding h2o, so I added Vino (just a splash of a couple jigs or so) AND the onions, and have it ready to slow melt while Im at work tomorrow. Got my fingers crossed. OH, and I used country mode pork rib fingers instead of chops. How could you go incorrect on this?????? I'll let y'all know how information technology turned out but I'm totally confident.
06/29/2010
Originally, I was going to BBQ the pork chops until I found this recipe. So easy and the results were out of this earth. I used President's Choice Maple, Apple tree and Beer Sauce, along with some onions nether the chops and on top before pouring the sauce over. The meat was so tender it roughshod off the bone. Definitely 5 stars!
03/25/2010
First-class taste and extremely easy preparation. Thanks! Added i cup Diet Rite Zip cola instead of 1-cup water (equally suggested in other reviews), which gave another dimension of flavor with no actress calories or sodium. Too, I cooked for 11 hours subsequently calculation the pork chops frozen and cooked on "low" setting. Chops fell off the os and were perfect. Will definitely make again presently!
09/18/2010
Great recipe. If yous like chewy this is not it considering the meat falls off the bones. YUMMY! I use only one/2 canteen of BBQ sauce on chops, throw on some sliced onions and baste with my ain sauce then they dont stick. My basting sauce is Mixture of 1/2 BBQ sauce, 1/2 water, seasoning salt, onion/garlic powder, hot sauce. These chops make not bad sandwiches the next twenty-four hour period likewise. They estrus well with a little basting sauce added for moisture.
11/05/2010
Quick, Piece of cake and Delicious!! The meat just fell off the bone. My family unit and I loved information technology!
01/xv/2010
Skillful. I used some BBQ, with almost a cup of water, a splash of soy sauce, some garlic powder and salt / pepper on each. I added a flake of chili powder on each chop and dumped it all in. Cooked on high, about 10 boneless chops, for about 3 hours. Was a lot better subsequently about 3.five, because the boys were then anxious to eat it. Added extra bbq sauce on the chops, as the sauce was a little thin. Still, delicious, and very like shooting fish in a barrel. hah, what I similar best. xD
02/05/2014
Simply DELICIOUS! This was so uncomplicated to make and succulent as can be! I sprinkled the chops with garlic pulverisation and covered with sparse sliced onions as another reviewer suggested. I admittedly loved the mode it flavored the whole dish. I served with sweet potato fries and brussel sprouts. Thank you Kathryn for sharing such a SIMPLE Delicious recipe!
01/19/2010
I put onion slices in the bottom of the crockpot and basted each side of the chop with habitation-fabricated BBQ sauce. A few onion slices on pinnacle and the remaining BBQ sauce. I only used a cup of sauce and the onions added the residue of the moisture every bit they cooked. I cooked on low for 8 hours. The chops were so tender and falling apart I needed a spoon to get them out. Husband loved them.
06/x/2010
This was Awesome. I went by the suggestions of putting water at the bottom, but I don't think it needed it. Marinated my chops with a little of this and that, and I used Cattleman's BBQ which had a wonderful flavor, and was a perfect sauce for my chops. I cannot look to make these again. Thank you.
03/10/2011
It was very very very dry!
xi/29/2008
My family loved the flavor but plant it to exist a fleck dry. Adjacent time I volition endeavor calculation a can of crushed pineapple.
12/02/2008
I added the italian dressing, dark-brown sugar, and worcestershire sauce and someone else suggested and it turned out pretty good.
11/13/2008
Sad this wasn't a favourite of mine. followed the recipe to a T merely found the chops too dry.
01/thirty/2011
Sorry. It was very simple but for some reason not very good.
01/09/2011
Simply saw this popular up again. Made it awhile ago and have to say that my family would not fifty-fifty bear on it. Sad.
07/15/2008
Our Pork Chops were SUPERB!! Everyone LOVED these! This is the almost flavorful way to melt Pork Chops and we will never once more broil or grill PC'southward. The key to attaining fabulously moist Pork Chops is to be generous with ones choice of sauce. I used nearly 70% of the canteen for 7 bone-in PC'due south in a 3 qt CP, height chop was dry. Chops must soak in sauce. Add onions if you love them! Mmmmmm.
02/01/2010
I used "Bulls Heart" BBQ Sauce and they were so yummy!! Just I think the key is to always sear your meat before y'all put it in the slow cooker.. no matter what it is, which this recipe doesn't say. but information technology holds in the taste and juices so much more than!!
04/sixteen/2009
YUM! I love pork. I stir mine oft because my sauce tends to burn to the sides.
x/20/2009
These were sooooo good!! I put them in the irksome cooker on about 225 degrees for nearly 8 hours, and they were absolutely the all-time ever!! So tender and moist!! We dont really care for store-bought BBQ sauce so I fabricated my own (Ketchup, mustard, worcestershire sauce, brownish sugar) I besides added parsley, basil, garlic pulverisation and ground black pepper to the chops before calculation the sauce!! Likewise, i more note ... I put the chops in the crock-pot frozen!! Very piece of cake and very DELICIOUS!!!
08/05/2008
This was fine tasting...only the note at the end that says yous can leave information technology in all day...well dont believe it! It gets dry and hard when overcooked. 4 hours would be plenty long enough.
10/27/2010
Terribly overcooked, at least in my slow cooker on low. The sauce burnt and the chops were dry equally dust.
05/02/2012
The flavour was good but I recommend a low setting, I put it on high for iv hours and the pork came out tough. Looking forward to trying this again on a depression setting
08/22/2008
These were really adept! I cooked iv pork chops in an xviii oz bottle of sauce (Caput Country, try it!). There was barely enough. If you are cooking more that, then I *highly* suggest using a bigger bottle. I cooked these on low for about 4 hours. I rotated them once or twice during that fourth dimension equally well as spooning the sauce from the lesser on top of the chops, only to make sure the stayed covered. I didn't desire to chance them drying out. I too put about 1/2 of an onion on the bottom of the crock pot to requite the pork chops something to sit on. I'm always afraid of scorching. I will be making these again. They were very tender, the bones even fell off when I took them out of the pot. Requite this recipe a try, and make sure y'all accept extra sauce but in case.
03/28/2010
I found the recipe dried the pork chops out and they were tough. I'm non doing this recipe again.
05/27/2010
This might be quite good if you have really thick chops on hand, just I wasted 8 lovely thin cutting chops on this. Shortened the cooking time to ii hours on HIGH instead of the 3-4, and the pork however came out like shoe leather. And then disappointed. Recipe authors should indicate the recommended thickness/size of the cuts. Sorry to be critical - I wanted to honey it!
02/20/2010
This recipe was very bland, very uncomplicated, it needed alot of perking up, so I added h2o, onions, and barbeque before if put in the chops. put the pork in, then added garlic and the residual of the bbq sauce , but I just used 1/2 a bottle for the whole recipe. when chops are fully cooked, add together steak seasoning, salt, pepper, and chives to the them, melt until blended in, overnice served over rice, and use the leftover sauce for the pot every bit gravy on summit of the dish. I woud give it a five syar after calculation these ingredients.
eleven/05/2008
This recipe was then unproblematic and easy and merely ii ingredients. I besides like it because you can change it up past using any flavor BBQ sauce that you similar. My family loved it!
05/23/2007
Fabricated this over the weekend... super like shooting fish in a barrel to make and peachy flavour! I added in some minced garlic and onions but for some extra seasoning. Will definitely exist making again.
07/08/2011
I used the thick, boneless pork chops from Costco and a really yummy hawaiian bbq sauce. I thought the other reviews maxim the meat was tender but dry sounded funny, because doesn't that audio contradicting? But strangely, mine came out just similar that! The meat was tender, easily shredded with a fork just dry out. Hmmmm... My hungry marine loved information technology, I made pull porked sandwiches and he went dorsum for seconds and thirds. I didn't treat it too much.
08/08/2011
This recipe is so simple and tasty. I utilize information technology all the time.
04/15/2009
This wasn't as good as information technology sounded. My married man loved it but it was to greasy for me. alot of the fatty from the pork chops was just kinda floating on height of the sauce.Don't think I will try this one once more.
10/01/2005
Wow! This was so easy and so skilful. So petty attempt to produce such tender and juicy chops. This volition become a regular in our house. Thanks so much.
11/15/2014
Simple. Delicious. Cull your sauce wisely. I have made this with Sweet Infant Ray, original and with Robert Rothschild Farm Anna Mae'south Smoky Sweet Sauce. Both were wonderful! I used five.5# pork loin, boneless cutting at the butcher counter into ane/2" slices, then I halved those at home to feed more people. Both times accept turned out tender and delicious. *tip: you lot can get the full pork loin cheaper than pre-cut/packaged, then have it cut for free at the counter. Relieve at least .50/#
02/15/2010
These are the easiest & tastiest pork chops I accept ever had. I did add picayune bit of water in the bottom of the crock pot & so put my pork chops in and covered them with seasoninings & bbq sauce. I used boneless chops, excellent repast!! Thanks!
03/04/2010
I really cooked this one day on high in the crock pot and information technology burned the barbeque sauce. please cook it on depression all twenty-four hours long and information technology wont fire
08/06/2005
Now this is a recipe even I can practice. I can't melt to save my life, but this turned out wonderful and how much easier could information technology be? I think this one is foolproof. Thanks!
11/22/2008
The yummiest Pork Cops I take ever had. I followed the recipe to the T and information technology turned out perfect and falling off the bone! mmmmmm!
10/27/2008
Yum.
11/25/2012
I have been making this recipe for a long time with i change --- I spread a thin layer of vegetable oil (I use EVOO) on the bottom dice up a large or extra large sweet onion and put it in first and use the barbq sauce sparingly and then everything else is the aforementioned. I've always cooked it all day on low because in the by I've had some disasters with crockpots on high. I've made it with expert pork chops as well as the cheap upkeep packs of pork chops and really have not noticed a substantial difference.
09/x/2002
My husband usually doesn't similar pork chops at all, only he loved these. It couldn't have been easier & the meat was very tender. I call back side by side fourth dimension I will expiry the cooking fourth dimension but a little. The BBQ sauce started to burn a trivial.
04/11/2002
I couldn't believe how incredible these pork chops turned out!!! I had begun but 4 chops for my family and around 5 pm my husband called and asked if we could have guests---so I got out my salad chief pot and did the same inside it as the slow cooker with two more chops--put it on depression and varied information technology from medium to low---it was really good, also---they were expert that fashion ---but they were incredible in the slow cooker!!
05/12/2010
These turned out actually skilful and super easy to make!! I also added a chip of water to the kickoff layer of bbq sauce.
07/28/2008
this is Astonishing. we've had this a few times now and the few changes i make withal make it keen. i cover the top of the pork chops with just enough bbq sauce and so they are fully covered, add i/2 loving cup water, 1/2 cup italian dressing, 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper, iv cloves garlic and ane/2 large white onion. i cook for 2.v hours alternating between high and low and they turn out perfect!! served with brown rice and asparagus..mhhmmmm! enjoy!!
11/07/2011
Like shooting fish in a barrel and skilful. I used Jack Daniel's BBQ sauce. I also put grill seasoning on the chops earlier I put them in the crock pot. 4 hours on high and we had dinner!
10/08/2008
This was so practiced. I did not put in slow cooker. I very lightly browned chops in skillet and poured barbeque sauce over chops and simmered on low for nearly 2 hours. They were very tender and delicious. I used Sweetness Baby Ray barbeque sauce. Volition be adding this recipe to my regular rotation. Cheers
07/25/2007
I added two tablespoons of red wine vinegar and a ane/2 of a teaspoon of cayenne pepper and 2 tablespoons dried chives to the bbq sauce, i too added a 1/ii cup of water to exist sure it wouldn't fire. volition definitely try make again :) very quick and easy
02/28/2005
These were then skillful! I cooked mine on low for about vii hours and used heart cut chops. I used a canteen of KC Masterpeice bbq sauce and it was crawly!!! Served with sauteed mushrooms, broccoli and biscuits. A+ dinner!!
05/27/2010
Merely didnt brand the cut.
09/20/2006
This was so easy and succulent! The meat just roughshod off the bone! I call up I volition experiment with unlike sauces next fourth dimension for more flavour. I'd also like to note that I had no problems with burning then I don't recall the water is necessary.
10/03/2008
Very good!! The only change I made was to toss in the beans and spices along with the craven broth to simmer together rather than waiting. I served this with the "Boring Cooked Pork Barbeque" a perfect match.
03/01/2013
This was the easiest & well-nigh delicious pork cops I've ever made. My whole family loved them. My grandaughter who simply eats chicken really ate a whole pork cop! Loved it!!
x/03/2008
Awesome! The all-time! Loved it!
10/xviii/2014
Loved this recipe. It was so simple to make and delicious. The meat was tender after cooking on high for iii hours.
12/12/2009
delicious, easy to fix!
09/25/2009
This was awesome! I used Sugariness Baby Ray'due south and cooked on low 8 hours. The pork was falling apart and delicious!
03/03/2008
It doesn't go whatever easier than this!!! Tastes bully, too!
03/22/2009
3 stars. This is AWESOME as BBQ for sandwiches, but lousy for chops. They were WAY too tender and fell off of the bone making it bbq. So for taste I say v stars but for holding up not then much.
ten/06/2005
This recipe was sooo easy and succulent. I left pork chops on high for 3 hours and ane hour on "keep warm" which over cooked. I recommend leaving for 3 hours on loftier and then serve or take out. Practice makes perfect! I also added half a cup of h2o on bottom and I added some seasoning. I volition definetly exist using this recipe once more!
12/15/2007
This is a very simple and quick recipe. I am always experimenting on things that my married man will swallow since he is such a picky eater. He had four pork chops for himself. I used very sparse chops (1/four inch) and they turned out fine. I did non add water like others recommended and I did not experience any bug with the BBQ sauce wanting to burn on the bottom of the crock pot. Thanks for this very simple but tasty recipe.
07/11/2009
Delicious and like shooting fish in a barrel. I made this for the kids and using Bobs BBQ Sauce recipe. This was my first slowcooked meal. I cooked for 4 hours on loftier and thought the chops were too dry and that I had overcooked. Withal, afterwards leaving on depression for another two hours, they became extremely tender.
eleven/08/2008
These were good, only I gave them a "iv" rating because they are actually no dissimilar then when I make them in the oven. I used boneless pork chops and added some minced garlic and chopped onion. Cooked on high for 2 1/2 hours, probably were done in ii though.
12/10/2005
This was a very good recipe for moist and flavorful pork chops. After reading other reviews, I added water and onions, and I concord that picking an first-class sauce makes all the difference in the globe. I used a bootleg spicy sauce then served it with the succulent pork chops over rice with peas.
09/19/2009
This was fair. I know information technology depends alot of your sauce however I dont remember the near flavorful sauce would make this first-class. I might brand again bec of how easy information technology is just add together onions, garlic and maybe peppers.
xi/09/2008
SO like shooting fish in a barrel and pretty proficient. Kids loved it.
07/14/2003
These porkkchops were the most tender ones I have ever had. I added just a little spice of garlic, salt and pepper and it was a striking.
02/11/2004
We enjoyed these low maintanence pork chops! It is bully to have a recipe this piece of cake and and then good. We used a dear roasted garlic bbq sauce this time. It was okay, but I retrieve a BBQ sauce without dearest would probably sense of taste meliorate with the pork. The chops were moist & tender. They needed a piffling bit more of a zing to them, so nosotros ate them with the small corporeality of BBQ sauce I left in the canteen. Nosotros merely cooked three boneless chops and used a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature. They might have over-cooked a bit. Later ho-hum cooking for three hours they were under-temperature; 15 minutes subsequently, they were manner over the "done" temperature. The timing was a fairly delicate matter. But they still turned out very tasty.
06/15/2007
who would take thought bbq sauce alone could make pork chops and then good!
